Welcome to Summer by the Sea, a great opportunity for you to discover Victoria's marine and coastal environments.
From 2 – 26 January 2017, the Victorian Government is hosting hundreds of FREE guided activities across our state. Discover the secrets of rock pools, beaches, estuaries and mudflats while learning about the diverse habitats and species of Victoria's coast. Enjoy fossil safaris, walking tours, coastal crafts, kite making and playing detective both on the beach and in the bush. For the more adventurous, test your navigational skills in the Enviro Course Challenges or try snorkeling, canoeing, stand up paddle-boarding and much more. More than 200 activities will be held along the Victorian coastline, from the far South West right through to East Gippsland. The program includes activities for all ages and interests.
Summer by the Sea is being delivered by experienced coastal volunteers and skilled local providers on behalf of Coastcare Victoria, Parks Victoria and Fisheries Victoria.
The Summer by the Sea 2017 Program has been launched and bookings are now open!
To book your spot in any of the free events go to www.summerbythesea.vic.gov.au.
